Staying true to its philosophy of 'RISE', Mahindra Truck and Bus had introduced Saarthi Abhiyaan in 2014 to turn the spotlight on the Indian truck driver community. Since then, a scholarship amount of Rs. 10 000.00 was awarded to truck drivers’ daughters who had completed 10th standard and were pursuing a further educational or vocational course. From last year onwards we have extended the reach and have started awarding scholarships to daughters of all commercial vehicle drivers. To date we have awarded 6654 scholarships to deserving girls across the country. This unique CSR project not only supports the truck drivers but their families too. This initiative was our way to salute all those truck drivers who educated their daughters despite the odds. But this is just a beginning. With Saarthi Abhiyaan we'll continue this journey to show truck drivers that we care.
